The Padres are set to select the contract of right-hander Tayler Scott, reports Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune. Lefty Ray Kerr will be optioned to create a spot for Scott on the active roster, but Scott isn’t currently on the 40-man, meaning a corresponding move will have to follow. The Padres have announced that righty Kyle Tyler has been designated for assignment as the corresponding move.
